Volunteers
Volunteers are a vital part of 4 H. There are many ways that YOU can Volunteer.
1. Parents and family members of 4 H Members can help to guide their child, bring their child to meetings and events and encourage their child to be an active 4 H Member. This level of Volunteering requires no special forms, just your enthusiasm!
2. Sometimes a person Volunteers for one particular event or is needed for a one time function. In this case the person becomes a Short Term Appointment Volunteer. There is a one page form that will need to be filled out to become a Short Term Volunteer.
3. Often a 4 H Club needs several Activity Leader Volunteers to help run club meetings, events, and activities. These Volunteers are often Parents or other family members of the 4 H Members. See the Activity Leader Volunteer Job Description below. Activity Leader Volunteers must complete paperwork, reference check, and a webinar training session.
4. Every Club needs at least one Organizational Leader. This is the adult leader who guides the club and handles the county level paperwork. Organizational Leaders must complete paperwork, reference check, and a webinar training session. These Volunteers also attend meetings and trainings held by the County 4 H Office.
